This year we have Aberdeen’s 1st Grilled Cheese shop Melt joining us. In their two years of business they have made a big name for themselves and set the bar pretty high for the humble toastie.
With fans like Nicola Sturgeon, John Snow and Donald Sutherland we can be in no doubt that this is far from the molten lava toasties you made on the Breville!
There for the full weekend with their knock out toasties including ‘The Bruiser’, this is one not to be missed!
From The Farmer’s Grill
The Farmer’s Grill will be cooking up Aberdeen Angus beef burgers, free range chicken burgers and veggie sausages from the custom-built charcoal BBQ hut.
The Farmers Grill will be maned voluntary by MSBH with all profits going to our nominated charities.
From Pizza Box
Pizza Box believe in proper pizza! They use the best fresh ingredients to give you amazing authentic handcrafted pizzas with a Scottish twist. All this is done from their beautifully restored vintage horsebox, where they house everything we need to deliver you the finest wood fired pizzas in the blink of an eye.
From The Bay on the Road
The Bay on the Road will be back with award-winning fish and chips, with everything sourced locally and sustainably. All their fish are caught in the North Sea from stocks which are fully sustainable according to the Marine Conservation Society. The Bay uses two main varieties of potatoes – Maris Piper and Markies, both sourced from the finest local seed.
From E. Giulianotti of Stonehaven
Makers of fine gelato E. Giulianotti is a long-established family business here in Stonehaven (since 1899). They make award-winning artisan ice creams, frozen yoghurts and sorbets from their vintage Sweetie Shop at Evan Street in the town centre.
They are delighted and proud to have been asked to attend this year’s Midsummer Beer Happening on Saturday, and will be offering a selection of delicious handmade Ices for you to try.
There will be a good choice of flavours to suit all ages – and especially for the over 18’s, the famous Gin and Tonic Sorbet!
Keep up to date with all that's happening with the Happening - make sure you don't miss out!
The Beer Happening doesn't just happen, if you'll pardon the pun.
It couldn't go on without the hard work of the volunteers who put it together, man the pumps and look after you while you are here. Our thanks to them and to the sponsors and organisations who supported us.
They all make it possible for us to say to you, "Welcome to the Happening and cheers."
